What I've Learned from Parks and Rec

In the midst of New Student Outreach and the craziness of work, I've found relaxation in watching Parks and Rec. Here are some the profound lessons that I have learned from the show.

1) Sometimes it's ok to treat yo' self

2) Appreciate your assets.

3) Care deeply about things. Your town, your friends, your waffles.

4) Breakfast is the best. Always.

5) It's ok to admit your weaknesses and take naps.

6) Female empowerment is a good thing.

7) It's important to encourage your friends.

8) As well as to encourage yourself.

9) You don't have to understand everything.

10) Always, always carry s'mores rations in your car. You never know when you'll need them.

11) What's important in life is friends, waffles, and work. Or waffles, friends, work. The order doesn't matter. But work comes third.

12) And just when you think you can't take a risk, you're more ready than you think you are.

And Bonus: Voldemort was probably born in Eagleton.
